Home Alone Troubleshooting Guide

Fix common Home Alone problems involving chore prompts, cameras, audio clues, controls, servers, and progress that appears stuck.

When Home Alone (Anomaly) appears stuck, first separate a misunderstood objective from a technical failure. Many chores have more than one step, and visitor checks can require evidence from a different room. A repeatable diagnosis protects the run and produces a useful bug report if the game itself is at fault.

Confirm the correct experience

The intended Roblox place is 87468080405188, created by We are the Developers 67. Check this before applying any guide. Similar titles may have different maps, controls, shops, or visitor rules. Also note the server age: an older server may not reflect a newly published update.

If a page or video mentions systems absent from your game, compare its date with the official update history. Update 2 was announced with new chores and console support, so pre-update walkthroughs may remain useful for the core loop while missing current interactions.

A chore prompt does not appear

Return to the task board and read the exact current objective. Then remove common interaction conflicts:

  1. put down or finish any unrelated carried object;
  2. approach the intended object or destination from another angle;
  3. wait for the on-screen prompt before pressing the interaction control;
  4. complete the full chain instead of stopping at the first animation;
  5. return to the board and confirm that progress changed.

For coffee, dishes, and lunch, the destination appliance or storage step matters. For toys and clothing, use the matching room container. Cleaning jobs may have multiple targets. The Chores hub provides route-specific checks.

The camera evidence is unclear

Do not convert an unclear frame into a guess. Cycle to the relevant camera, allow the view to settle, and compare the visitor with their claim. If the image still does not resolve the decision, use an independent evidence channel: listen for a reported audio cue or inspect the room connected to the visitor.

If the feed is entirely blank or frozen, close and reopen the station if the interface permits it. If that fails, move away, return, and test another camera. A persistent failure across all views is more likely to be a server or client issue than an intended clue. See Camera Checks for the normal procedure.

Audio clues are missing or overwhelming

Check Roblox volume and the device output before assuming the game withheld a cue. Reduce unrelated audio, remove Bluetooth devices that may have switched profiles, and verify that left and right channels both work. Some community reports rely on subtle sounds, so noisy environments can make a valid clue unusable.

Never treat the absence of a community-reported sound as final proof. Audio behavior can vary by visitor, event timing, and game version. Use visible camera and house evidence as a cross-check. The Audio Checks guide marks which conclusions are corroborated and which require live testing.

Progress or allowance looks wrong

Community guides commonly describe allowance earned during the run and cite a $180 target. If the total seems low, revisit the task board and look for an unregistered final interaction. Do not confuse this display with lobby coins, item prices, or Robux gamepass costs.

If the objective is complete but the number does not change, capture the objective text and currency display before rejoining. That distinguishes a delayed UI update from lost progression. The Allowance guide documents the currency boundaries.

Controls do not match the guide

Follow the on-screen prompt rather than assuming a keyboard key. Roblox maps interaction differently across keyboard and mouse, touch, and controller. The official Update 2 note confirms console support, but it does not publish a fixed controller map. Reconnect the controller, reopen the Roblox menu, and test movement and interaction separately.

If touch prompts overlap or a controller focus becomes trapped in a menu, reset the interface by closing the station or menu before rejoining. See Controls for device-specific checks without invented button names.

Decide whether to rejoin

Rejoin only after preserving the evidence you need: current chore, last successful action, visitor state, device, server age, and any visible error. A fresh server is appropriate when several unrelated prompts fail, all cameras freeze, or progress remains unchanged after the correct complete interaction. If only one clue is uncertain, continue with another evidence channel rather than throwing away the run.

Evidence status

  • Official: exact experience identity, Update 2 new chores, and console support.
  • Community corroborated: multi-step chores, camera-led checks, and distinct in-round allowance.
  • Community reported: specific visitor sounds and the $180 benchmark.
  • Needs in-game testing: device mappings, prompt hitboxes, server-specific bugs, and whether a reported clue changed in the latest build.
