Home Alone Detection Items

Compare the currently reported Candle, Flashlight, and Camera detection items without inventing what the stat does, and test the live effect safely.

The currently documented Home Alone (Anomaly) item list contains three Anomaly Detection entries: Candle, Flashlight, and Camera. One community walkthrough provides Coin prices and +1, +2, and +3 values, but it does not define the detection mechanic. A detection point could affect a visible stat, a hint, a probability, or something else; none of those operations should be claimed until the current Store or a reproducible test shows it.

Evidence status: item names, prices, and displayed values are Community reported by one detailed current source checked 2026-08-07. The meaning, duration, stacking, and activation of Anomaly Detection remain Needs in-game testing.

Currently documented detection catalog

Candle

The selected guide reports 90 Coins and +1 Anomaly Detection. It is the lowest reported entry price and therefore the safest candidate for a one-item mechanic test if the live Store matches. Do not infer that it lights a room or visibly points to an Anomaly; the name alone is not a mechanic description.

Flashlight

The reported listing is 350 Coins and +2 Anomaly Detection. This exact game also uses dark visual pressure, but no reliable source says the item operates like an ordinary handheld flashlight. Verify its description, equip slot, and activation rather than importing behavior from another Home Alone horror game.

Camera

The current report gives 1,500 Coins and +3 Anomaly Detection. The lobby item is conceptually separate from the laptop CCTV system inside the house. Buying a Camera should not be assumed to add a feed, improve night vision, or replace the visitor camera routine unless the live text explicitly says so.

Identify what the stat actually changes

Before purchase, look for a visible Detection stat, item description, tooltip, inventory explanation, or pre-run loadout. Record the exact wording. During a run, compare what changes: a number, an icon, highlighted evidence, additional time, automatic feedback, or no immediately visible effect. Leave unsupported outcomes blank.

The strongest test changes one variable. Equip one detection item while keeping the same route and platform. Record ordinary camera and night-vision behavior before calling an improvement. A single easier visitor can result from random case selection rather than the item.

Detection supports checks; it does not replace them

Continue to match the visitor’s story with the correct channel. Vehicles, room objects, normal CCTV, night vision, and audio remain distinct. Even if the item supplies a hint, preserve the raw clue and the live UI response. A hidden stat cannot justify opening the door when the named evidence contradicts the caller.

Use the Camera System guide for a baseline-and-comparison routine. Use Visitor Camera Checks for currently reported camera cases. These processes remain useful regardless of an item’s exact bonus.

Compare purchases without a fake tier list

Do not rank Candle, Flashlight, and Camera only by the displayed +1/+2/+3 sequence. Verify whether they share duration, trigger, slot, persistence, and caps. If one is permanent while another is consumable, the raw stat is not enough. If the effect uses thresholds, three points may not be three times one point.

Start with the cheapest live entry when your goal is to learn the mechanic. Save for a larger entry only after you can describe the actual benefit and confirm ownership rules. If the Store wording remains vague, keeping Coins is a valid choice.

Controlled test checklist

  1. Record the official game identity and current server date.
  2. Capture the item card, price, currency, description, and ownership language.
  3. Record any Detection stat before purchase.
  4. Buy one item through the normal lobby Store.
  5. Record balance, inventory, loadout, and stat changes.
  6. Start a run and use one documented visitor check normally.
  7. Record any new UI, hint, timing, or evidence behavior without assuming causation.
  8. Repeat on a second case if practical.
  9. Check whether the item persists after the run and after rejoining.

Do not install scripts or executors to reveal hidden values. A normal player-facing test is sufficient and keeps the account safe.

Avoid cross-game item confusion

Search results contain multiple Roblox experiences named Home Alone, including unrelated story, horror, and escape-room games. Verify Place ID 87468080405188 before using an item list. A flashlight or camera in another game may be a physical tool with entirely different behavior.

Also separate the purchased Camera from the house laptop. The Official Links guide explains how to confirm the correct game and creator before spending currency.

Troubleshoot a detection item

If no effect appears, check whether it must be selected in a loadout, equipped before the run, or activated through an inventory. Confirm that the Coin balance changed and the item appears as owned. Reopen the Store once and inspect the card. Do not buy a second copy until stacking and consumption are known.

If the description changed from this page, trust the live text and record the date. If the game updated, treat older item values as stale until retested.

Detection items FAQ

What does Anomaly Detection do?

No reliable public source currently defines the operation. The stat name and values are reported, but the mechanism requires live confirmation.

Is Camera the same as CCTV?

No evidence supports that assumption. The Camera is listed as a lobby item; CCTV is the house laptop evidence system.

Which item should I test first?

If live prices match, Candle has the lowest reported cost. Verify the card before buying and test only one variable.

Do detection items stack?

Unknown. Do not buy duplicates or combine items solely on the assumption that numbers add together.
