Practice the essential operations first

These operations cover the core loop even when the physical input differs by device.
Watch the prompt at the object. It may distinguish tap, hold, repeat, direction, or confirm. Do not assume every chore uses the same input: web removal is currently reported as a hold, window and dish cleaning as repeated input, and coffee or lunch as target-zone minigames.
Keyboard and mouse routine
Use the Roblox Help panel to confirm the client movement and camera controls available in your session. Then approach a safe chore object and note the Home Alone interaction prompt. Test opening and closing the laptop without a visitor present. While the laptop is open, identify which input moves focus between feeds and which toggles night vision, but do not memorize an input if the UI displays something different after an update.
Mouse focus can remain captured by a minigame or menu. Finish or exit the current interaction before walking to the door. If the camera does not rotate, check whether the laptop, Roblox menu, or a task interface is still active rather than pressing random keys.
Touch routine
On mobile or tablet, keep the interaction area visible and avoid placing fingers over the visitor dialogue or objective progress. Approach the object slowly enough for its touch target to appear. If two touch targets overlap, close the current interface, step away, and re-approach. Rotate the device only when Roblox and the experience support the orientation; a mid-interaction orientation change can move controls. Controller and console routine
Roblox’s official Update 2 text confirms console support, but it does not state an Xbox or PlayStation mapping. Follow the glyph shown in the current interface. Before pressure starts, practice moving focus inside the laptop, confirming a feed, toggling night vision, backing out, and re-entering. Also test whether a chore prompt expects a hold, repeated press, stick direction, or confirmation.
Controller focus can become trapped in a panel. Use the displayed back action, close the game interface, and return to movement before approaching another object. If a prompt shows keyboard input while a controller is connected, reconnect the controller through normal platform controls, reopen the Roblox menu, and re-enter the interaction. Operate the camera without creating false evidence
Feed changes and night-vision toggles can produce interface sounds or visual transitions. Change one control, then stop input and let the view settle. After the visitor, inspect the current task state rather than repeating every input. A dial may have reset, brewing may have finished, or a carried object may still be active. Use the live prompt to continue from the real state.
Fix an input that stops responding
- Close the laptop, board, Store, or chore interface using its displayed exit action.
- Step away from the object and verify normal movement and camera control.
- Re-approach and wait for the prompt.
- Put down or complete an unrelated carried item.
- On controller, reconnect normally and verify focus in the Roblox menu.
- On touch, clear overlapping panels and re-enter the target.
- Test a second safe interaction to see whether the problem is object-specific.
- Rejoin only if several unrelated controls remain broken.
Capture the platform, input device, prompt shown, object, server age, and last successful action before reporting a bug. “Interact stopped” is less useful than “controller confirm worked on the door but not on the coffee dial after leaving the laptop.”
Accessibility and safe audio
Roblox settings provide volume, camera, and supported accessibility controls; availability can change by client. Use captions when the experience supplies them, reduce motion where supported, improve UI contrast, and keep audio at a safe level. A guide should never require unsafe volume to identify a visitor.
If a clue cannot be perceived reliably, ask a teammate or use another documented evidence channel for that visitor. Missing access is not proof of a safe caller.
